Guidelines and Timeline for Press Releases
Content must be factual and accurate. CoinDesk will not publish anything that is erroneous or inaccurate.
All claims must be substantiated.
CoinDesk does not allow advertising for tokens that are actively seeking investment.
Advertising not allowed for tokens includes any reference in any paid media, as well as any reference in an Advertiser’s URL redirect. For tokens that are outside of a fundraise period, legal documentation must be provided stating that the Advertiser’s token is regulated under the SEC or the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in addition to adhering to the guidelines of the Investment Advisor Act of 1940. If CoinDesk deems that there is a violation of this policy, the creative will be removed, and the Advertiser will have an opportunity to replace the creative and/or URL redirect. If the Advertiser does not comply after two weeks, there will be no refund on the campaign.
Any form of crypto gambling, guns or adult content, or other products or businesses deemed controversial by CoinDesk will not be approved.
If the content is perceived to be ‘shilling’, CoinDesk has the ability to reject it from publishing on-site.
Click-through URLs included in the release must be reliable and include accurate information.
